Veer Savarkar The Visionary of Indian Independence


Veer Savarkar  freedom fighters in India whose greatest achievement is remembered in his unending struggle to get the country its independence and his ideology that helped shape the modern India. Savarkar was born on May 28 in 1883, in Bhagur, near the city of Nasik, Maharashtra and had a life full of courage, sharp intellect and a burning desire to see India without the British colonialists.

Early Life and Education

Veer Savarkar was born in an intellectual family that laid stress on education and at a very young age, Savarkar was a bright child. He joined the Ferguson College in Pune where he had an exposure to revolutionary ideas. Savarkar was an excellent scholar and this earned him a scholarship to pursue his studies in England at the Gray’s Inn. He was in England exposed to the broader scope of Indian nationalism that also aggravated his desire to free India.
