  Holi is also known as spring festival and it commemorates the victory of good and evil. There is a lot of enthusiasm attached to the festival. The festival of colors is one of the most important festivals in the Indian Culture and Society . The holi festival is an acceptance of all the diversities and cuts across all the cultural differences, be it the caste, class, creed, age etc of a person. There are also various traditions in this festival. One of them is called Holika Dahan. It refers to the burning of Holika. Holika is an Indian mythological character, and during this day people rejoice over the death and defeat of the character through a symbolic bonfire.
